Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Printing
Unless otherwise stated in the description, we use a cutting-edge printing method called DTG printing to create your one-of-a-kind apparel. DTG is similar to how a regular inkjet printer works, but instead of paper, it uses specialized inks to print directly onto fabrics! This allows for:
- Vibrant, full-color designs: DTG printing produces high-resolution images with a wide color gamut, making your designs pop.
- Detailed and intricate prints: Because the ink sits directly on the fibers, DTG can capture fine details in your artwork.
- Soft feel: DTG inks are water-based and soak into the fabric, resulting in a soft and comfortable print that won't crack or peel.
- Great for small batches and customization: DTG printing doesn't require minimum order quantities, making it perfect for small businesses and on-demand printing.
- Better for the environment: With DTG, there are no massive amounts of inventory sitting in a warehouse, using resources, and potentially leading to waste. This technology allows us to print only as needed, using earth conscious inks.
What to know about DTG printing:
- DTG printing works best on natural fabrics like cotton, but can also be used on some synthetic blends. For instance, our AOP (All Over Print) garments are made from the synthetic polyester which leads to exceptional design print quality for a truly one-of-a-kind item.
- A pre-treatment solution is usually applied before printing to ensure the ink adheres properly to the fabric. So, when receiving your item, because it was inside a package for several days shipping to you, you will want to let the item "breathe" or simply toss it in the machine for a first wash.
We believe DTG printing is the perfect choice for creating high-quality, customized apparel that you'll love to wear around the lake! If you have any questions - don't hesitate to reach out.
